Some Retrofit Academy courses include an examination as part of the qualification. If your course includes an examination, there are specific rules and requirements that you need to be aware of.

Examination and Invigilation Policy

The Examination and Invigilation Policy applies to all Retrofit Academy courses where an examination is required.

The policy provides an overview of how examinations are managed at the Retrofit Academy and explains the responsibilities of learners, tutors, invigilators and the Academy throughout the examination process.

It also covers areas including examination arrangements, invigilation, access arrangements, special consideration, results, appeals and examination contingencies.

If your examination is through AIM

The majority of Retrofit Academy qualifications are accredited through AIM Qualifications and Assessment Group (AIM).

If your examination is through AIM, you should also familiarise yourself with AIM's examination guidance before sitting your exam.

Please note: The Level 3 in Energy Efficiency in Older and Traditional Buildings is not accredited through AIM.

Some Retrofit Academy qualifications are accredited through ABBE (Awarding Body for the Built Environment).
